Let’s run down some of the reasons why the PAX 3 might be the ultimate vape for those who want to live life to the fullest.
The PAX 3 is a perfect party companion ?
Let me kick off by saying that the PAX 3 seems to be made with the party scene in mind. It’s completely in its element in the middle of a crowded dance floor. You won’t lose any style points if you are seen with this tiny loose-leaf vape. It looks absolutely stellar, with its sleek design and powder-coated finish that comes in a wide variety of trendy colours.

Although, sometimes “Discretion is the better part of valour”, as the old saying goes. The PAX 3 has your back in that department too. The fact that it is so cute and tiny and that it doesn’t really ‘look’ like a weed vaporizer makes it discreet enough to not cause a fuss if you sneak it into the club. It even has a ‘Stealth Mode’ in case you don’t want the colourful, flashing logo on the device to alert those nosey bouncers while you dance and vape the night away.
Ease-of-use in the palm of your hand ✌️
Another brilliant design aspect that is high on PAX Labs’ list of priorities is user-experience and ease-of-use. Operating the PAX 3 is so easy, you only need one hand. There is just one single button which doubles as the mouthpiece. Gently touch the mouthpiece of the device, wait 30 seconds for the haptic feedback to vibrate and you are ready to vape rich, flavorful and potent vapour.
More freedom with the PAXapp ?
If you want it your way and demand a bit more control over your vaping experience you merely have to whip out your smartphone and open the PAXapp**. Set your preferred temperature manually or select one of the pre-programmed settings or customise the LED display.
There are even some fun little party games on the app that use the funky colours of the LED-lit logo, in the spirit of ‘Spin-the-bottle’. That just goes to show how much fun the makers had with the design process of the PAX 3 and how much fun they hope you will have with their creation.
** Due to some inexplicable reason, Apple has banned all ‘vaping-related apps from the Apple Appstore. So for the foreseeable future, only Android and Chrome users will be able to enjoy the added functionality of the PAXapp. We hope that Apple will rectify this oversight soon.
The PAX 3 will last all day or all night ?
Like I mentioned before, the PAX 3 is a great companion for a night out clubbing, but it is also a great vape for on-the-go or the great outdoors.
The large bowl of the PAX 3 has space for up to 0.5 grams of loose-leaf flower that, if you stir the herb in between your vaping sessions, will last for at least two, ten-minute sessions.
The battery lasts for about six to ten bowls before it needs a recharge, so, whatever you are doing, you are safe in the knowledge that the PAX will be with you every step of the way. That’s damn impressive for such a tiny thing.
If you are the outdoorsy type or just clumsy, the PAX is quite rugged and built to withstand most bumps and scrapes. So, you don’t have to worry about dropping it.
And if the PAX does give up the ghost for some reason (other than your own stupidity of course), it comes with a 10-year warranty.
Tons of special features (and some secret ones?)
For all its simplicity, the PAX is packed with a lot of cool and innovative features. One that I was really impressed with is the integration of an acceleration sensor like you find in most smartphones. This allows you to shake, tilt or spin the device to activate added functionality like checking the battery level or enter certain modes. The sensor also ‘senses’ that it needs to crank up the heat when you want to take a hit. The same goes for when you put it down to take a break; it turns down the heat and goes into Standby Mode, making it one efficient little vaporizer.
Other features that might come in handy are vaping modes like Boost Mode, for when you want to use the PAX with a bong or when vaping concentrates. Efficiency Mode, for when you want to be absolutely sure you vape every last piece of dry herb before refilling the bowl.
My favourite mode, however, is Flavour Mode, which automatically sets the temperature to a low setting, ideal for savouring the full flavour of the terpene profile of your weed.
Spoiler alert! There is also a secret mode, called Party Mode, which optimises the heat up and cool down settings for sharing your bud or dabs with a large group of friends***. This mode also does all kinds of funky things to the LED display lights, but I’ll let you discover those for yourself. Have fun unlocking this secret mode!
